The game environment is populated by ordinary people - not super heroes or super soldiers - who have so far managed to survive very hard times. The worst of the adverse weather has passed and so heavy winter gear, such as face-masks and mittens, are generally no longer required. Nevertheless, it remains cold with regular snow and wind storms and so the characters are dressed accordingly, in boots, bulky coats and hats. Some choose to attempt to trek to kinder climes, but for all scavenging is a necessity. Should they be caught in the open by a storm, then those without a rucksack or bag to carry the necessary equipment and supplies risk exposure and death.
Whether they are to be played as individuals or as part of a gang, the rules cover a number of ways to create characters for the game. The Character Creation Sheet provides a table of rated attributes that can be used for the selective or random creation of custom characters or gangs. Alternatively, the rules include Character Cards that reflect the miniatures in the accompanying range available from our website store at www.miniatureMOJO.co.uk.
The following examples are mounted on 20mm dia steel washers. The snow effect was created using the miniatureMOJO snow flock fixed in place with PVA and varnished when dry, then painted off-white and dry-bushed white before a final coat of gloss varnish. The miniatures can generally be painted with or without gloves. To view 'ready reference' painting schemes for the characters, please go to the bottom of this page.
